Trista T.
Private tutor in Atherton, CA
Education
I graduated in December 2014 from University of Arizona with a B.S. Physics and a Minor in Applied Mathematics. I've always taken my academics extremely seriously, performing consistently on Dean’s List, receiving Regents High Honors Academic Tuition Scholarships and Academic Competitiveness Scholarships and I hope to help others achieve their goals!
Experience
One of my greatest passions is tutoring. In 2011 I began working at the University of Arizona's SALT (Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques) Center which dealt with students facing learning and attention challenges. From August 2011- December 2014 I tutored students in a variety of subjects spanning the sciences, mathematics and computer programming realms. In 2014 I achieved my advanced level ITTCP certificate. In addition, I also worked the past few years as a private tutor, reaching out to a broader demographic of students and subjects. Throughout the course of my years as a tutor I have learned the importance of tailoring learning techniques to fit the individuals. I have now gained experience tutoring at levels ranging from elementary to college.

Hobbies
I have many side projects that I intend to in some cases begin and in others continue pursuing. I believe an important aspect in making the world a better place is helping others discover their love for science! Through private tutoring and science outreach events I hope to show kids the beauty and the fun that are embedded in science. I hope to one day open my own tutoring company as well as run my own physics outreach camps for kids.
