Experience

I have a passion for learning and teaching math and science, having tutored high school science and math for over 7 years since senior year in high school. While as a student at UCLA, I also enthusiastically helped others by participating in leading workshops as well as mentoring incoming students. Having the experience of helping people from various background, I am able to see these subjects from the students' point of view and help students understand with the best studying strategy suitable for the students. In addition, I believe that only a patient tutor is able to help students build a solid foundation. I am not just a tutor but I work with parents and students on setting the best strategy as well as studying habit and schedule in order to achieve the best grades possible. Typically I break down my lecture to be 25% lecture and 75% practice. I believe that only with ample practice can a student do well. Most students have tremendous improvement over the course of tutoring in a matter of weeks. I am also on the UCLA committee for the engineering school recommending students for engineering scholarship so I can also provide guidance on application essay writing as well as admissions. Style: I am teaching you a method rather than just what's in the book. Furthermore, my goal is to inspire you to do well. Hobbies

I enjoy going out and exploring new things. One of the things that I've done in the past year is backpacking through Italy, Korea, and China. Furthermore, I love outdoors activities and sports including playing basketball and rugby. In addition, I love to learn about new things whether they're things in the books or outside such as cultures. :)
